You can download the scanned answer book through your login, personally review the evaluation, identify any observable issues in marking, and apply for verification or re-evaluation if required.

CBSE Post Result Process 2026: Stage-Wise Breakdown

CBSE has divided the process into two stages.

Stage 1: Obtain Scanned Copy of Evaluated Answer Book

You must first apply to receive the scanned copy of your answer book.

Important Points To Remember

  • The application must be filled and submitted by you only. CBSE has clearly stated that it should not be done through cyber cafés or by anyone else.
  • You must make sure all details entered in the application are accurate.
  • Once the request is approved, the scanned copy of the answer book will be available in the your login account for download.
  • CBSE will provide scanned copies on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You can apply for one or multiple subjects together, but the application must be submitted in a single attempt and not separately.
  • If you find any issue in the awarded marks after checking the scanned copy, you can proceed with the next stage, which is re-evaluation.

Stage 2: Verification of Issues and Re-Evaluation

After reviewing the scanned answer book, you may apply for verification and re-evaluation of CBSE Class 12 answer sheet.

For verification of your Class 12 answer sheets, you can report issues such as:

  • Marks not awarded despite correct answers.
  • Answers that are matching the marking scheme but are not evaluated properly.
  • Missing marks for attempted questions.

You can request re-evaluation of specific questions with proper reasoning.

CBSE clarified that you must:

  • Refer to the official marking scheme available on the CBSE website.
  • Mention the exact question and issue clearly.
  • Provide understandable and identifiable information.

Important Conditions for CBSE Verification and Re-Evaluation

  • Only students who have already applied for the scanned copy of their answer books are eligible for verification of issues and re-evaluation process.
  • CBSE has clarified that the Board’s decision after re-evaluation will be final and no appeal or further review will be entertained.
  • You can also obtain scanned copies of answer books under the RTI Act 2005 as per its provisions.
  • However re-evaluation requests under RTI and grievance redressal through RTI for marks is not allowed.

Check whether:

Marks were awarded according to the marking scheme.

Any answer was skipped.

You can also mention if your answer is similar to the marking scheme but still received no marks.

3. Mention Issues Clearly

If an issue is found, students should clearly specify:

Nature of the mistake

Why the answer deserves marks

4. Submit Accurate Information

Any information or issue reported by you will be reviewed by experts. Corrections will only be made if the claim is found to be valid. CBSE has also clarified that the Board’s final decision will be binding and no further appeal will be entertained.

However, since marks can both increase and decrease, you should carefully analyse your answer books using the official marking scheme before applying.
