Important Schedule and Fees
CBSE has shared the schedule as follows:
| Facility | Application Dates | Fee |
| Scanned copy of evaluated answer book | 05 August to 09 August, 2026 | ₹300 per subject |
| Verification of marks | 16 August to 19 August, 2026 | ₹300 per answer book |
| Re-evaluation | 16 August to 19 August, 2026 | ₹100 per question |
Note: You must complete the process online within the given dates. Offline applications will not be accepted.
Who Can Apply for Verification or Re-Evaluation?
You must first apply for the scanned copy of the evaluated answer book. Only candidates who obtain the scanned copy will be eligible to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.
If you appeared only in the Main Board Examination, you can apply for the scanned copy of the answer book for the subject taken in the Main Board exam. After that, you may apply for verification or re-evaluation.
If you appeared in both Main and Second Board Examinations for the same subject, you may obtain scanned copies of both answer books.
However, for verification or re-evaluation, you can choose only one answer book, either Main or Second Board. Once selected, the other answer book cannot be considered for these facilities.
What You Should Check in the Scanned Answer Book?
After receiving the scanned answer book, you should check whether all answers have been evaluated, marks have been correctly posted, and the total matches the marks shown in the result or DigiLocker.
For re-evaluation, you should compare your answer with the question paper and marking scheme available on the CBSE website. Re-evaluation is allowed only for full questions, not for part of a question.
Key Rules Students Should Remember
- The entire request and fee payment process will be online. The fee can be paid through UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking. CBSE will not accept payment through postal order, demand draft, money order, cheque, or cash.
- A single application for each step will be accepted per candidate. Once you apply, you will not get another opportunity for the same step. You must submit the application personally and check all details carefully. CBSE will not be responsible for errors made by any third party, such as a cyber café.
- The scanned answer book will be made available in your candidate login account. Details that reveal the identity of the examiner, evaluator or any other examination official will be hidden.
- Only candidates who obtain the scanned copy of the evaluated answer book will be eligible to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation. Verification and re-evaluation are available only for the theory portion of the examination.
- The status and outcome of your request will be uploaded in the same candidate login account. You should regularly check the CBSE website because no separate individual communication will be sent for status updates.
- Revised marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged. Even a decrease of one mark will be implemented. If there is any change in marks, you will have to surrender the Mark Statement cum Certificate already in your possession, after which a new one will be issued.
- The fee will be refunded in case of an increase in marks after verification or re-evaluation. The refund will be made to the same account from which the payment was made to CBSE.
- The result of verification or re-evaluation will be final. No appeal or further review will be accepted, and CBSE’s decision regarding the marks awarded will be final and binding.
- A scanned copy of the answer book may also be provided under the RTI Act, 2005 as per its provisions. However, requests for re-evaluation or grievance redressal cannot be made under the RTI Act.
- CBSE has also provided detailed guidelines and suggestive steps to help you review your scanned answer book carefully and complete the verification of marks or re-evaluation process correctly within the given schedule.
