CBSE Conducts Webinar on Registration and LOC
The webinar was organised at CBSE’s Integrated Office in Dwarka, New Delhi. It followed the Board’s guidelines on submission of the LOC for Board Examinations 2027 and the correction of students’ demographic details.
During the session, school representatives raised questions about different stages of the Registration and LOC process. CBSE officials addressed these queries and provided clarification on procedures that schools need to follow while preparing student information for the upcoming examinations.
The session was also streamed online, allowing schools, and educators who could not attend in person to access the discussion.
Important Points Discussed During the CBSE Webinar
Schools Are Asked to Verify Student Details
CBSE has highlighted the importance of entering, and checking student information carefully during the registration and LOC process. Schools need to verify the details submitted for each candidate and ensure that they match the school’s official records.
The Board has also provided guidance on corrections to students’ demographic details. Schools should identify errors at the appropriate stage and complete corrections through the prescribed procedure.
Checking information carefully before submission can help prevent problems at a later stage.
Subject Selection and Changes
The webinar also addressed queries concerning subject selection and changes. Schools need to check the subjects selected by students before finalising the LOC and ensure that the information entered is correct.
Where a subject change is permitted under CBSE rules, the school must follow the prescribed procedure. Accurate subject information is important as the LOC forms part of the student’s official examination record.
Registration for Classes 9 and 11
CBSE is also preparing to begin the registration process for students of Classes 9 and 11. This process helps the Board maintain student records as they progress through the secondary and senior secondary stages.
According to CBSE, the registration and LOC processes cover students from nearly 32,000 CBSE affiliated schools across India and 26 other countries. Schools should therefore keep the required information ready and follow the timelines and instructions issued by the Board.
CWSN Provisions
The webinar included guidance on provisions for Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Schools are advised to follow the applicable provisions while completing registration and LOC-related procedures.
Schools should ensure that eligible students receive the facilities and support available to them under the relevant examination guidelines. Proper planning can help schools meet these requirements and provide appropriate support during the examination process.
