BITSAT-2026 Examination Overview and Logistics
The BITSAT-2026 is structured as a three-hour, computer-based online test consisting of multiple-choice questions. Key features of the examination cycle include:
- Attempt Flexibility: Candidates are provided the option to appear for the examination twice.
- Scheduling: Applicants maintain the flexibility to select their preferred test centre, date, and time slot.
- Global Presence: Testing centres are established across India, Nepal, and Dubai.
- Application Deadline: The final date for online submission via the official admissions portal is 16 March, 2026.
Direct Admission Path
The institute maintains a policy for direct admission for Board toppers. Students who secure the first rank in any state or central level Board examination in India for the year 2026 are eligible for admission into a programme of their choice, bypassing the standard entrance test.
BITSAT-2026 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for BITSAT-2026, you must meet specific academic requirements:
Academic Timeline: Applicants must be completing their 12th grade education in either 2025 or 2026.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (PCM/B) is required.
- Subject Proficiency: Candidates must score at least 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- Dubai Campus: Notably, the BITSAT score is not a mandatory requirement for admission to the BITS Pilani Dubai Campus.
Academic Programmes and Financial Aid
BITS Pilani offers a wide array of disciplines, including Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, and specialised tracks such as Mathematics and Computing or Mechanical with specialisation in Aerospace. The institute also offers B.Pharm. and M.Sc. programmes.
