When the team at Target Publications was in the middle of the compilation process of our Number Writing books, we had to go ahead in a strategic manner. The task was to create books which would not be seen as a burdensome addition to the daily life of toddlers. We wanted to completely remove the fear for Numbers from 1-100 from within the minds of all students. The result was this combo of four ‘Number Writing Books for Kids 1 to 100 Numbers’, which provides ample practice for number writing and make studying numbers, easy and fun. This combo consists of four books viz., Number Book 1-10, 1-20, 1-50 and 1-100.
Nowadays, there have been reports of a commonly seen phenomenon among students. This phenomenon is popularly known as ‘Maths anxiety’ and has come to light in the recent times with instances of students who have been unable to perform out of the fear of numbers. This fear stems from the fact that the world of numbers is divided into two parts. One is right and one is wrong and there never is any space for ‘maybe’ answers. The expectation that your answer should be correct generally leads many to develop a deep seated fear of Mathematics in general and numbers in particular. This fear starts when we are just toddlers around the age group of three to seven years.
These books were created in a manner to hold the interest of toddlers around the age of three as well as primary students around the age of seven. We choose to make these books as colourful as could be with the addition of Cartoons, an aspect that is much appreciated by kids. The fundamental thought was to encourage kids to shed all their inhibitions and enjoy numbers to the fullest. All four books are replete with cartoonish number shapes and colourful illustrations to accompany them. We consider this to be our USP as it gives toddlers as well as children a break from mindless writing, practicing and counting of numbers.
