Admission to Top medical and dental colleges in India is done through the process of NEET Counseling. NEET is a National level examination conducted by the respective state authorities of the state. The counselling in the state of Chhattisgarh will be carried out by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Raipur for filling 85% of state quota seats during the 3rd week of June 2019. The remaining will be 15% of the All India Quota will be filled by the Medical Council of India. The state committee will be conducting two rounds of Counseling for MBBS and BDS admissions through Online Mode.
The state committee will be releasing a provisional merit list enlisting the names of candidates who have qualified for the NEET examination. Aspirants who are included in the list are deemed eligible for participating in the online counselling process.
Candidates are required to register themselves by submitting their personal information along with NEET UG, academic, contact, and other essential details. Hereafter registration students will be required to create their login ID and password. Further processes will be carried out on the preference of the college chosen, the merit obtained and the number of vacant seats available.
Here is a detailed process of Counseling for NEET at Chhattisgarh for MBBS and BDS admissions 2019 which are as follows:
All candidates are required to register for the counselling process online through the official website of NEET. Each candidate must fill in the required information comprising of personal information, exam roll no, and NEET result for 2019 details along with including registered email Id and phone number. After the registration, the login details and other credentials will be sent to the official email Id and Mobile number of the student.
After the registration, candidates will be required to fill in their preferences and choices of colleges and courses where they would want to take admission. Candidates must fill out the list of colleges on the basis of their preferences which cannot be edited later.
Once the choice of filling and locking is completed, the process of seat allotment will begin based on the preferences filled; rank obtained in the NEET exam and the reservation criteria.
The counselling process will be carried out in online mode. The result of the first counselling will be released in the last week of June 2019 while the result of the second counselling will be released in the first week of August. After the results are announced, candidates will be sent counselling call letters along with the option to either accept the allotted seat or appear for the subsequent counselling process.
All the selected aspirants are required to be present at the allotted college on the scheduled day along with the relevant documents for verification and the admission process.
