The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), in reaction to a leak of a Mathematics exam question paper from an exam site in the Sindkhed Raja taluka of the Buldhana district, issued a statement on March 3, 2023.
The statement claims that two pages of the Mathematics question paper for the morning session of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) test on March 3, 2023, were leaked after 10.30 am. According to the Board's guidelines, students must be present in the examination centre by 10.30 am for the morning shift and until 2.30 pm for the afternoon shift, after which no student will be allowed to enter the hall.
In the opinion of the board, there is no justification in such a scenario for the Mathematics exam to be leaked at 10:30 and reach the students since the students had arrived at the examination centre by that time. Therefore, the Class 12 Mathematics exam will not be re-conducted, board secretary Anuradha Oak has clarified.
At Sindkhed Raja Police Station, a case has been filed against an unidentified person, and the police are continuing their investigation. The board has advised everyone in the area to take notice of this and not believe any rumours or incorrect information being spread.
